This is a typically wry short story – I would be very happy to spend more time with the Judge. In Camilleri published the first in a long series of novels: La rivoluzione della Luna Andrea Camilleri. I liked each account and would warmly recommend this set of novellas to you that will perhaps leave you wanting more. Judge Surra, a sweet-toothed man of underwhelming appearance and a certain wide-eyed innocence, travels from Turin to restore lawful stability to the town of Montelusa.
Ferro, a policaman in Bololgna inis on protective duty, assigned to a young female magistrate, Valentina Lorenzini. This is an excellent and humorous short story, but it is marred by a clumsy and unnecessary afterword.
Lucarelli is able to surprise the reader and pack plot twists into a very short space. Camilleri vince sempre facile con me.
