The dating tales are funny and unbeleivable awkward! Karrie is a mid-forties Jewish actress who goes on a series of bad dates. Graff writes what most of us think but rarely say.

Instead, I felt like I had just read This book was just ok. Being single I felt a kindred-ness to the main character, but it only stretched so far. This book had potential that it never quite lived up to. By the end of the book I sort of understood why she couldn’t find a boyfriend.
But damn, is it really hard to date right now?
I could definitely relate. I did like the story about her meeting Charlie. Some of the chapters were humorous but most were disturbing.

Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. I wanted her to finally find The One. This book was a painful trip down fruitless dating lane. The problem was, they weren’t all that bad, or funny. It’s not terrible, if I had less to read, I’d have preserved a bit longer.

Not my kind of book but I was interested in the relevance to my own sorry list of frogs and I picked this book up for pennies. Didn’t appreciate the smut and felt it was gratuitous as it didn’t rosp the story along.
It really reads more like a collection of short stories because there isn’t much progression by the main character.
